Sightseeing in Sintra
Sintra was easily my favourite part of visiting Portugal!
We took a train from Lisbon to Sintra thinking we would only be visiting Pena Palace (which is a beautiful multicoloured palace in Sintra). When we got there we rented a little electric car and looked at a map of Sintra and realized how many amazing castles and natural sights there were (we should probably get better at researching the places we are visiting haha).
We then decided to just drive all over and stop when things looked interesting!
Our first stop was the Park and Palace of Monserrate. It was so delicate and adorable!
Next we stopped at Azenhas do Mar, which is a small Fishing town that reminded me of Greece!
Last we stopped at the most western point of Europe, Cabo da Roca! The water was way more turquoise than I was expecting.
Sintra was my favourite place we visited in Portugal and I would highly recommend you go if you get the chance. Even though Pena Palace was what I was looking forward to most here, it ended up being so crowded I barely took any photos, which is why I didn't include any. Renting a car and driving around all of the other sights was what made me love this place.
Thanks for stopping by! Xx
